In-home newborn sessions are some of the most heartfelt and relaxed experiences - the perfect way to capture your baby’s first days in the comfort of your own space.

If you’re preparing for an at-home session, here’s how to make sure everything goes smoothly (and stress-free):
1. Let in the Light
Natural light is everything. Open all the blinds and curtains before I arrive - we’ll use the soft, flattering light from windows to create warm, cozy portraits.
2. Tidy Lightly (Not Perfectly)
You don’t need a spotless home! Focus on clearing clutter from main areas we’ll shoot in - typically the nursery, master bed, and living room. Small baskets or bins work wonders for hiding everyday items.
3. Keep Baby Cozy
Set your thermostat a bit warmer than usual (around 75–78°F). Babies love warmth, and it helps them stay calm and sleepy during photos.
4. Feed Before the Session
A full belly = a happy baby. Try to feed your newborn right before the session starts, so they’re content and relaxed.
5. Dress the Family Simply
Choose soft, neutral tones without loud logos or patterns. Bare feet and simple textures keep your portraits timeless.
6. Relax and Enjoy
I’ll handle posing, soothing, and guiding you through everything. Your job? Soak in these moments - they’re some of the sweetest memories you’ll ever have.
✨ Your home is where your story begins - and that’s exactly where your newborn photos should feel the most authentic.
